The intention with ageing in concrete here is to highlight the purity of the Grenache fruit, which this wine achieves on both the nose and the palate with bright red fruit, and specifically notes of cherry. Minerality and spice prevail, as does a freshness throughout due to its marked acidity. Deep and concentrated on the palate, this shows Mandarin orange rind flavors that mingle well with ripe strawberry, red currants, and shades of stony soils. The 2021 finishes gently tannic and with admirable length, leaving a chewy concentration of black raspberry to slowly fade.
