"A rich, ripe, yet seductive style, with layers of supple plum, black cherry, tar, tobacco leaf and mineral flavors. Full-bodied and intense, yet graceful and elegant in its own way. Drink now through 2016." James Laube - Wine Spectator, November 2010 - 91 Points
Drink this ripe, hedonistic wine over the next 5 to 8 years." Jeb Dunnuck - The Rhone Report, November 2010 - 89 to 91 Points

		Vineyard Notes
The Grenache and Syrah are from our immediate neighbors, Torrin Vineyard. Our friends and neighbors, Scott and Viquel Hawley farm their 10-acre Torrin Vineyard with the same care and attention to detail we put into our own farming practices. The vines are all planted at 3’ x 7’ spacing in fractured limestone soils yielding 2.5 to 3-tons of fruit per acre. Perhaps more importantly, it is farmed from the viewpoint of a winemaker as Scott and Viquel produce their own fantastic wines. We selected Torrin Vineyard, fruit for our 2007 wines because we feel it is the closest representation of the Caliza Winery estate fruit we will begin to put into our wines beginning with the 2008 vintage.
